Jackie & Elaine - Willing to Go

Jackie Wilburn is an evangelist that has been spreading the Word of God through singing and preaching for 35 years.  His Sunday morning radio program has been reaching homes in the Middle Tennessee area for over three decades.

All across America, Jackie has often been called a “mountain” preacher because of his Tell-it-like-it-is” style of preaching!  After pastoring for seven years, he felt the need to combine his preaching with the Southern Gospel Quartet ministry that he and Elaine began in 1969.

The Wilburns have maintained a full-time nationally known Southern Gospel Quartet that has traveled from coast to coast and Canada.  They have received many top awards for their music.  From camp meetings to Christian cruises, radio, TV, and everything in between, audiences have been blessed by their powerful ministry.

Jackie and Elaine have been married for 46 years.  They have three sons, three daughter-in-laws, and six grandchildren.  They both were born and raised near Carthage, Tennessee and have raised their family there.

There is a long list of young people who have gained recognition from getting their start in Gospel music with The Wilburns.  One of those is their own son, Jonathan, who is the lead singer for Gold City Quartet!

Jackie says, “It is time for The Wilburns to change directions again.”   Jackie and Elaine are once again serving the Lord with an emphasis on Gospel preaching and singing as a duet.“Just like it was in the beginning of our ministry, we don’t know where He will take us, but we are willing to go.  We are looking forward to the next chapter the Lord is writing for us.”
